The House of guidance

Is a non-for-profit organisation founded by a group of motivated Muslims to help our community in Launceston. Our mission is to build a cohesive society and promote the unity amongst all Australians based on mutual respect and tolerance between different groups.

Planned opening: The 6th of September, 2021

We see our Masjid not simply as a house of worship with walls, a roof and open doors. Rather, we believe that that is actually the members and believers that come together for the sake of God to learn and practice his words, understand his commandments and extend his gifts. Our aims are derived from the noble Islamic teaching of spreading peace, helping the needy and bringing people together.

The Centre will serve all Muslim families in Launceston and Northern Tasmania and will provide high quality Islamic education for children, young adults and Muslim Women. The Centre will facilitate Friday sermons and regular community gatherings.

The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.

آل عمران | 103
And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.

محمد | 38
Here you are, being called to spend in the cause of God. Among you are those who withhold; but whoever withholds is withholding against his own soul. God is the Rich, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people, and they will not belike you.
